
Run, walk or bring your wheelchair to the 30th annual Oktoberfest 5K & Tom Thumb Fun Run supporting Wipe Out Kids' Cancer, (WOKC), a non-profit organization founded in 1980 dedicated to funding pediatric cancer research and supporting pediatric cancer patients and their families. . The 2010 Run will be dedicated to Wendy Ochoa, Sasha Okhotshiy and Lauren Smith – 3 beloved 2009 Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer ambassadors who lost their battle against this terrible disease called cancer.
- The 5K (3.1 mile) course is Chronotrack certified
- Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 overall winners and the top winner in the Masters division (40+) & the top 3 finishers in each age category will also be recognized
- The first 500 children (age 10 and under) to cross the Tom Thumb 1 Mile Fun Run for the Children finish line will receive a goody bag that includes free entry on all Talley Carnival rides until 5:00 pm on race day
- Proceeds from the race benefit pediatric cancer research and WOKC programs that provide support to children in the DFW area battling cancer.

At the Post-Race party, participants get a free breakfast, German beer (over 21 years only), a concert by kids’ favorite Eddie Coker, and free admission to Addison Oktoberfest with Race Bibs on Saturday. Plan to stay all day!
